Nicholas was born in 1999 and is a second-year student of history at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, having previously been at Abingdon School in Oxfordshire, where he took A Levels in economics, history and English literature. He edited his school newspaper, The Martlet, and currently writes for the Cambridge student newspaper Varsity, across the opinion, arts and music sections, and aspires to a career in journalism in the future. He is particularly interested in journalism and essays which explore the intersection between politics and culture, and how this helps to shape the world we live in. Some of his favorite writers are Martin Amis, Christopher Hitchens and George Orwell, and beyond journalism his interests include history, literature, music and travelling.
