Kateryna Denisova

Kateryna (21) holds a BA degree in journalism and social communications. She works as a news editor at NV.ua news website — a part of an independent Ukrainian media holding. Katya loves information flows, writing about complicated things with simple words, however, she never chooses the path of least resistance. Katya used to cover politics and world events; now she mostly reports on Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. She is keen on telling people's stories, takes an interest in human rights and gender equality topics. As a student of Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv, Katya was the editor-in-chief of “Oh My Globe”, the student-run newspaper on international issues for youth, and the producer of a podcast about Ukrainian startups. She believes that independent quality media help to develop a democratic society and can shed light on the truth.
