Barbora Novotná

Barbora Novotná is a Czech student of master’s degree in journalism living in Prague. She works in Seznam Zprávy, one of the biggest Czech media houses, as a data journalist. Apart from the data she focuses on disinformation and media literacy. Therefore, Barbora has spent two weeks in Helsinki, interviewing renowned journalists, academics, and experts on disinformation. After months of work, based on gained knowledge in Finland, she created a handbook for young journalists on how to fight disinformation. Currently she holds lectures on media education at Czech high schools. Barbora loves exploring new countries and cultures – both on professional and personal level. She spent one year in the US during her high school studies, and one semester in Denmark studying journalism. Yet she always returns to her home country with love.
