TOP Czech Women Awards Announced

The TOP Czech Women awards announced the results of its 15th jubilee awards ceremony, organized by Hospodářské noviny and the Economia media, at Prague’s Forum Karlín. The mission of this project, under the patronage of Michaela Bakala, is to bring successful women from the private and public sectors to the attention of the general public. Their success stories inspire other women and highlight topics such as equal work opportunities and the role of women in leading positions.

The motto of this year's event was “Those who are changing the world” – reflecting how the event's winners change the world from executive positions across multiple sectors. “Even though the number of women in corporate management in the Czech Republic is still below the global and European average, I see positive development in that area. I am glad TOP Czech Women has played a significant role in that process. It’s clear that women can make significant contributions when given the opportunity, respect, and support from the community,” said Michaela Bakala, after the awards ceremony.

A panel of twenty experts from the Czech business and public sectors give awards to the most prominent women in the categories of TOP Businesswoman, TOP Manager and TOP Public Sector Woman. As has become customary, three women won awards in the supplementary category of TOP Czech Start-Up.
