New Swiss Students Enter Bakala Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program of the Fondation Zdenek et Michaela Bakala conducted its interviews in Geneva on Monday, May 7th, 2018. Fifteen talented students pre-selected by Swiss universities presented their projects and study plans to the jury. Michaela Bakala, the Foundation’s President and Chair of the Board, especially appreciated their enthusiasm and dedication. Students granted a scholarship gain the chance to further develop their potential by pursuing studies at top-ranking universities abroad. Mrs. Bakala believes this opportunity not only helps students achieve their own goals; it also brings fresh ideas and perspectives to their new host country. A cocktail reception followed the interviews, where students met Zdenek and Michaela Bakala, and other guests. It was a uniquely enjoyable event for all present, as representatives of all the philanthropic organizations supported by the Bakalas in the Czech Republic and Switzerland were able to meet in one place and present their activities in short videos.
