Critical Thinking Crash Course

Critical thinking - an objective analysis of available facts, evidence, observations, and arguments in order to form a judgement. It is an indispensable skill in today's (post)modern world full of information overload.

What will you learn? This workshop will explore some of the most useful critical thinking tools and strategies. Combining a sturdy hands-on approach with a pinch of theory, the workshop will benefit anyone who cares to improve their ability to assess information, argue, persuade others or simply communicate and convey meaning. Improving your critical thinking skills will help you not only better structure and argue your academic work, it will also allow you to better understand and more effectively communicate in everyday situations.

About the lecturer Leading the workshop will be Martin Štefl, who teaches languages, communication and critical thinking at the School of Business of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. Martin also works as a lecturer of AP courses at the Center for Talented Minds and as a translator.
